Organic Gardening

High pressure and warmth have blessed Alaska with an early gardening season. Tomatoes, basil, zucchini, squash, peppers and cucumbers are blossoming in the hoophouse. Carrots and beets are up and on their way. Cabbages, broccolis, kohlrabi and kale are sporting extra big leafy growth. Spinach and greens are daily salad. The onions and garlic are looking healthy.
